Summarized here are the goals of the restoration project. Many of these goals have already been achieved, but many have yet to be realized. We will forever be indebted to those who have already contributed their hard work or financial support to this effort, but more is needed.

- Clear the interior of the depot - completed in 2001
- Repair or replace windows and window sills - first phase completed in 2001
- Strip paint from existing interior oak woodwork - began in 2002, soon to be completed
- Remove old chimney, replace with new chimney - completed in 2002
- Remove old roof tiles and repair structural roof support - completed in 2002
- Reinstall new/reconditioned roof tiles - completed in 2002
- Repair interior wall tiles - completed in 2002
- Repair exterior stucco - completed in 2003
- Repair interior plaster - completed in 2003
- Replicate original oak ticket counter - completed in 2003
- Rebuild wooden furnishings of ticket office - completed in 2003
- Deep clean original terrazzo floor - completed 2003
- Repair exterior brickwork - completed in 2005
- Reconstruct and reinstall entry doors - completed in 2005
- Install heating/cooling system
- Replace ticket office floor
- Repair or replace damaged or missing interior woodwork
- Stain all interior oak woodwork
- Install reconstructed ticket office window and counter
- Repair damaged exterior woodwork
- Complete separation of sewer lines
- Reinstall brick platforms
- Establish Oregon Depot Museum, Inc. as a non-profit entity - completed in 2003
- Raise funds to sustain progress toward reaching goals
